Hitchhiker's Movie script writer interviews self

This news is a month old, but I came across it recently. There's going to be a movie based on The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which is currently is production. Expected to release somewhere in 2005.

What's got most fans upset is that the script of the movie differs somewhat from the books. Douglas Adams wrote the initial drafts himself. The task to finish the screenplay came to one Karey Kirkpatrick after DNA's death. So the new writer decided to clear the air a bit and do a self interview.

The interview starts off with: "WHO THE H*#&! ARE YOU AND WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO MUCK AROUND WITH THIS TREASURED PIECE OF LITERATURE, YOU AMERICAN HOLLYWOOD HACK?" I like the guy already at this point. [Read more]

In one word, cool. If the rest of the movie cast are like him, this is going to be a hell of a movie.
